ATOs
Q1: Our question relates to the fact that if there is going to be four separate agreements, with four separate Contractors, will the terms and conditions of the agreement be aligned so much that we don’t have to negotiate four separate ATOs when we are reviewing the contracts?
A1: The terms and conditions of the ATO are essentially the same for each MSA, but each MSA has some differences. Because each MSA stands alone, if an agency subscribes to services on more than one MSA, they will be required to sign an ATO for each MSA. The STD Form 20 will be used to request initial and subsequent services, so only one ATO per MSA is required. We will do everything we can to minimize paperwork.
Q2: What do we need to do if we selected a second option on the ATO (B3) which continues service through December 2006?
A2: Because ATO questions are so individualized, we will have to answer those types of questions on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the DTS/STND directly and we will address this issue with you.
Q3: Will we need to sign another ATO to remain under CALNET I until CALNET 2 is up and running?
A3: The current Contractor will notify customers based on their ATO agreements and inform them of their options, depending on the circumstances of individual ATOs. The CALNET I Contractors will continue to provide services until current customers are transitioned to CALNET 2 or another option to obtain services is selected. Please contact DTS/STND if you have additional questions about this.
Q4: What if your CALNET I ATO expires this month, and you wish to extend it just long enough to take advantage of CALNET 2 contract, without having to re-enlist for three more years?
A4: Please contact the DTS/STND regarding this.
Q5: Since we do not know the pricing of services provided in the CALNET 2 contract, can we opt out at any time, should we submit the Transition form by 10/13/06?
A5: Yes, you can opt out at any time, per the expiration date of your ATO. Submission of the Customer Transition Plan form that you are referring to does not obligate customers to transition. It provides an opportunity for customers to identify the best/worst times for DTS/STND to perform transition activities, and provides other information.
