Q1: Under the new contract, if we end up having to pay more for new services, are there any provisions for you to go with us to the Department of Finance (DOF) for funding augmentation?
A1: That is certainly an issue we can discuss. However, I believe it would be best to defer this response until after the MSAs are awarded and the rates are identified.
Q2: The RFP references general order 96A, and many CPUC decisions that deal with ICB pricing. One of the sections states that the Contractor is going to summarize the ICB agreements and provide them to DTS. Does DTS intend to publish those so that all state agencies will know what other state agencies are receiving under the ICB provisions?
A2: We have not made that decision yet, but we will certainly take it under consideration.
Q3: If we are migrating, will we be able to continue to get CALNET I Contractor prices until the migration occurs?
A3: If you are receiving CALNET I existing services, you will continue to get existing prices. Once you transition or migrate over to the new services, you will get the new prices for those services. In some cases, you may be getting bills for CALNET I services at the same time you are receiving bills for CALNET 2 services. Our priority is to transition agencies to the CALNET 2 services as quickly as possible.
