WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This cours is designed for business or
technical experts who want to use TSO/ISPF in an z/OS environment.
 
PREREQUISITES: Successful completion of the course INTRODUCTION TO
Z/OS.
 
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course presents all of the commonly used
facilities of the TSO/ISPF product in the z/OS environment, such as
data set browsing and editing,dataset creation manipulation, batch job
submission and tracking, and review of batch job output. Efficiency
techniques for using TSO/ISPF are presented to ensure the participant
is utilizing the product effectively. Hands-on workshops are used to
reinforce concepts.
 
COURSE OBJECTIVES: upon successful completion of this course the
student should be able to:
 
· Describe the basic facilities available in z/OS TSO/ISPF.
· Use TSO/ISPF to perform commonly required business functions, such
  as creating and manipulating OS/390 data sets on disk and tape,
  browsing and editing disk data sets, and copying data from one data
  set to another.
· Submit a batch job to the z/OS system for execution, track the job
  through the system, and review the job output.
· Customize TSO/ISPF parameters so its performance and appearance
  meets their needs.
