COURSE DESCRIPTION:This course is designed to give newcomers to z/os
an overview ofhe hardware and software available in the Enterprise
Server environment.
 
COURSE OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course, the
student should be able to:
 
· Show how z/OS evolved from the original System/360.
· Describe the latest IBM hardware offered in z/OS.
· Show the structure of the z/OS operating system and how
  application programs are handled.
· Define the purpose of the major sub-systems in z/OS such as CICS,
  VSAM, TSO/ISPF and JES.
· Understand the difference between batch and online processing.
